Careers And Post 18 Advice
Careers advice for Sixth Form students begins during the interview process where applicants are questioned about their aspirations to ensure that the choices they are making are in line with that vision.
Our help and support does not end there.
Mrs. Madden is our dedicated careers advisor and Sixth Form administrator. She works tirelessly to ensure that all students are given the support they need to make decisions about their post 18 lives. This includes:
- University Admissions
- Apprenticeship Applications
- Work Experience
- University taster events
Further careers support is delivered by our Sixth Form Tutor team during SMSC time. Students are encouraged to investigate the range of options available to them when they leave Epping St. John’s, research the entry requirements for these courses, investigate the costs of these options and how to manage their money and ultimately make the best choice for them as an individual. In addition tutors offer advice on writing CVs and personal statements and on how to apply for part-time employment. Some of our most used resources are listed below:
