Epping St John’s is proud to establish itself once again as a registered provider of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. Back after popular demand, the school is ready to embark on its journey to provide a much more comprehensive enrolment for the scheme at all levels.

We believe that there's much more to education than simply passing exams. Participating in the DofE programme builds pupils’ confidence and expands their horizons — whoever they are and wherever they’re from.
Confidence, resilience, independence and team working – just some of the transferrable skills young people get through their DofE programme that will support them in life and improve their chances of moving forward in educationand career. It’s open to all backgrounds, cultures and abilities encouraging a celebration of diversity.
Successfully achieving a DofE Award at any level can be a game-changer. It raises young people’s aspirations and opens doors to employment whilst bringing together communities across the UK.
The Award is split up into three sections:
- Bronze Award (for Year 9 and onwards)
- Silver Award (Year 10 onwards)
- Gold Award (Year 12 onwards)
