Our Sixth Form community are lucky to have such supportive parents and community. Our Year 12&13 students had their first experience of interviews this academic year. It is always really popular and we couldn’t do it without our school community pic.twitter.com/41n97OCurj

A-level Results 2023

A-level Results 2023

Posted: 17th August 2023

Resilient and determined young people are heading to top UK universities, despite studying during two years of disruption.

Year 13 students collected their A-level results today after the summer’s exams.

During their studies, they have navigated Covid-19, teacher strike action and extra public holidays taking them away from the classroom.

Deputy headteacher Flora Christofi said: “We are delighted with our students.

“Despite another challenging two years, our students are still securing places at top UK universities, such as University College London, King’s College, Durham Universiry, Bristol University and University of York, and competitive apprenticeships with Barclays, JP Morgan, Hill construction and Ryanair.

“Our students have again shown resilience and determination. Despite exam boards reverting back to ‘normal’ grade boundaries, our students have had a far from ‘normal experience’. They were met with the Omicron variant of Covid-19 in their first term, where they had a half-term of disruption in the run-up to Christmas, and a loss of teaching time with seven national strike days, three regional strike days, as well as the King’s coronation and the Queen’s funeral.”

Among those celebrating today are –

· Sophie Satchel, who is heading to University College London after picking up A*AB grades

· Paul Adams, who is heading to Sheffield University to study biology after picking up AAA grades

· Samaya Kaleel, who is heading to University College London to study history after picking up A*AAA grades

· Henry Davis, who is heading to Sussex University to study computer science after picking up AAA grades

· Tilly Nelson, who is heading to Newcastle University to study geography after picking up A*AB grades

· Mason Trainor, who is heading to Queen Mary University of London to study economics and international finance after picking up A*BB grades
