Young people are set to succeed in life due to their “diligence, resilience and integrity” and not just their exam results.

That is the view of leaders at Epping St John’s, as Year 11 students collect their GCSE results today.

Many will take their next steps at the Epping St John’s Sixth Form – which is oversubscribed with record numbers joining in September and a waiting list of more young people keen to join.

 

Faye Clarke, assistant headteacher, said: “It’s been a difficult journey for this cohort. They've been affected by lockdowns and remote learning, multiple strike days and bank holidays, but - as we knew they would - they’ve fought against adversity and shown their capabilities.

“This was a really special year group; they were full of personality and would brighten everyone’s day.

“Exams are important and open doors, but I know they’ll all succeed regardless of the results they receive today because of their diligence, resilience and integrity.”
