Epping St John's School prom
Posted: 18th July 2018Teenagers said a final farewell to their school days with a day of fun and reminiscing.
Year 11 students at Epping St John’s Church of England School spent their final day attending a leavers assembly before the long-awaited prom.
During the assembly, the year group was reminded of the many experiences they had shared in the last five years, with photos and videos from across their time at the school.
Awards were also given for various Most Likely To categories and there were performances from the year group’s bands, singers and GCSE dance students.
The school prom was held at Blake’s, with professional photos, a dinner and disco, as well as awards for the best dressed students.
Sarah Montgomery, Year 11 director of learning, said: “Prom was a really nice evening, which ended with every single person on the dance floor singing together. It was brilliant; a really nice celebration to mark the end of their five years at Epping St John’s.”
Kate Henshall donated the £250 she won from the Jack Petchey Foundation for her general hard work at school to the prom, to buy sweet cones and balloons to decorate the tables.
